WIOA requires the Governor of each State to submit a State Plan to the U.S. Department of Labor that includes a four-year strategy for the State’s workforce development system, and to submit a modification to that plan after two years. Although New Mexico has an approved WIOA Combined State Plan for PYs 2016-2019, WIOA requires that states review their plans every two years and update State Plan strategies based on changes in the labor market and economic conditions or other factors affecting the implementation of the State Plan. Please click the link below to access State Plan modifications to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Labor. The document includes the Strategic and Operating Elements for the WIOA six core programs:
- Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth Formula programs (WIOA Title I),
- Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA) program (WIOA Title II),
- Wagner-Peyser Employment Service program (WIOA Title III), and
- Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program (WIOA Title IV).*
The link also includes program-specific modifications for the Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth Formula programs (WIOA Title I), Wagner-Peyser Employment Service program (WIOA Title III), and Jobs for Veterans State Grant (programs authorized under 38, U.S.C. 4100 et. seq.), as these programs are administered by the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions.
