Pocket Resume

The Basics

A Pocket Resume is a small card that you can keep in your wallet with all the important information you need to fill out a job application. This way you aren't fumbling to find dates or phone numbers. You can focus on neatness and good presentation. Review the Job Applications section for an example of a typical application. Here is a suggested list of information you should have on your pocket resume:

  • Drivers License Number.
  • Social Security Number.
  • Education: Schools attended, addresses, dates of graduation and titles of certification.
  • Employment: Name of employer, address, phone number, job titles, and dates of employment.
  • References: Name, relationship, addresses, contact information.
  • List of skills you have.
