Carpenter Apprenticeship Program

Construct foundations, walls, floors, and framing including, but not limited to, sills, girders, floor joists, subfloors, and partitions; building roofs and applying various types of sheathing; exterior mill work, interior floor coverings, and interior finishing including windows, doors, and fastening hardware; building walkways, scaffolding, and miscellaneous repairs. Use various carpenter's hand- and power tools.

Who Can Be a Carpenter?

Must be at least 18 years of age or older to apply, and typically possess a high school diploma or GED. Applicants must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the apprenticeship program: standing, bending, walking, lifting, balancing, climbing ladders and scaffolding, carrying tools and equipment, etc. Involves working outdoors the majority of the time with exposure to various weather conditions (heat and cold). Must have documentation verifying legal residence and employability. Out of town travel will be required and possibly out of state travel.

    Applications Developer?

    Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.

  • Do you want to become a

    Plumber?

    Assemble, install, alter, and repair pipelines or pipe systems that carry water, steam, air, or other liquids or gases. May install heating and cooling equipment and mechanical control systems.

    Ironworker?

    Raise, place, and unite iron or steel girders, columns, and other structural members to form completed structures or structural frameworks. May erect metal storage tanks and assemble prefabricated metal buildings.

    Electrician?

    Perform preliminary work with the material and tools of the trade; residential and commercial rough wiring and finish work including the installation of various kinds of wires, cables, and conduits per the National Electrical Code; industrial lighting and service installation; motors controls and installation including emergency generators, relays, and timing devices.
