Rocky Mountain Youth Corps Logo

Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC) is a stepping-stone to new opportunities. We inspire young adults to make a positive difference in themselves and their communities throughout central and northern New Mexico. Through training and service, Corpmembers discover their potential for healthy, productive lives. RMYC AmeriCorps crews partner with public land management agencies, local municipalities, state departments and others to revitalize communities, preserve and restore the environment, prepare young people for responsible, positive lives and build civic spirit through service.

RMYC has set out to make a difference by helping youth overcome inequities such as economic disparities, limited educational access, health inequalities, cultural and environmental injustices, and a lack of role models. The program addresses these overlapping issues by training and providing land management agencies with a skilled workforce dedicated to preserving the environment, enhancing recreational facilities, bolstering the regional economy, and opening doors to career prospects for the next generation of conservationists.
