New Mexico’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.0 percent in December 2023, Up from 3.9 percent in November and up from 3.5 percent in the previous year. The national unemployment rate in December was 3.7 percent, unchanged from November and up from 3.5 percent in December 2022. Total nonagricultural payroll employment grew by 20,500 jobs, or 2.4 percent, between December 2022 and December 2023.
Children, Youth, and Families Department (CYFD), in conjunction with the Department of Workforce Solutions, will hold a Rapid Hire event to fill positions in Roswell, New Mexico. The event will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 10am – 3pm at the New Mexico Workforce Connection, 67 University Blvd.
