Unemployment Insurance Tax & Claims System Available Online
All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ offices, including the Unemployment Insurance Operations Center, will be closed on Monday, September 5, in observance of Labor Day. The department urges claimants to plan accordingly.
New Mexico’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.5 percent in July 2022, down from 4.9 percent in June and down from 7.0 percent in July 2021. The national unemployment rate in July was 3.5 percent, down from 3.6 percent in June and down from 5.7 percent in July 2021. Total nonagricultural payroll employment grew by 37,100 jobs, or 3.9 percent, between July 2021 and July 2022.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for August 18, 2022 for the grand opening of the Farmington New Mexico Workforce Connection Center that has been relocated to a San Juan College owned building off campus.
The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (“Department” or “NMDWS”) hereby gives notice that the Department will conduct a public hearing in the conference room of the Human Rights Bureau located at 1596 Pacheco Street Suite 103 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, 87505 on September 13, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The public comment hearing will also be conducted virtually.
