Unemployment Insurance Operations Center Closed Monday

Online System and Automated Toll-Free Phone Options Available

(Albuquerque) - All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ offices, including the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Operations Center, will be closed Monday, October 13, 2014 in observance of Columbus Day. The department urges claimants to plan accordingly. Individuals can apply for Unemployment Insurance (UI), certify for their weekly claim, and check their claim status by logging in at www.jobs.state.nm.us, Sunday through Friday from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. Automated toll-free phone options are available at 1-877-664-6984. The Operations Center will resume normal hours on Tuesday, October 14, and individuals can contact a Customer Service Agent in the NMDWS UI Operations Center at 1-877-664-6984 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

NMDWS would like to remind all eligible UI claimants that Monday, October 13 is a federal holiday. Some banking institutions and the US Postal Service will be closed in observance of Columbus Day. This may result in a delay of banking transactions for UI debit card and direct deposit benefit payment recipients for those certifying on Sunday. This will also result in a delay of mail delivery for a small portion of UI claimants who receive checks.

For the latest announcements and updates, visit the NMDWS website at www.dws.state.nm.us, follow NMDWS on Twitter (twitter.com/NMDWS), and watch department videos on the official NMDWS YouTube channel (youtube.com/user/nmdws).
