Families & Youth Inc.’s mission is to increase academic success among children and youth placed at risk, through a universal approach providing tutoring, mentoring, and other social services. We strive to achieve improved academic performance, academic engagement, and attendance outcomes through three distinct programs: In-School Support services (ISSP); Safe After School Services (SASP); and a Safe Out-of-School-Time (SOST) summer program, called Enterprise City. Our AmeriCorps members address multiple student needs in alignment with comprehensive elementary school turnaround plans to enhance learning and obtain skills necessary to meet educational goals. Members provide in-school support and safe after-school programs in high priority schools in the Las Cruces Public School District. We are currently serving the communities of Las Cruces and Doña Ana County, New Mexico.
