Each NMCCV AmeriCorps program works closely with a program associate to troubleshoot program challenges, ensure compliance with federal program requirements and identify best practices suitable for use by the program.
AmeriCorps Training Opportunities
Each year, NMCCV sponsors in-person training opportunities for AmeriCorps programs.
New Mexico Launch AmeriCorps Conference
Attendees participate in workshops that offer new strategies for communicating program impacts and new approaches to AmeriCorps member development. Additional sessions touch on fraud prevention and integrating programmatic and fiscal policies and procedures to ensure adequate program oversight. Highlights include discussions on the implementation of the groundbreaking Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act that has reauthorized and updated national service programming, as well as ongoing dialogues about renewing the commitment to service as a solution to tackle our communities’ most pressing needs. Check back for specific dates and locations.
Regional Training Events
Throughout the year, Serve New Mexico organizes regional training events for AmeriCorps State and National Programs. A listing of regional trainings for the 2010-11 program year will be posted as soon as it is available.
