Unemployment Insurance Operations Center Closed Friday
Online system will be available from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday-Friday
(Albuquerque) – All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ offices, including the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Operations Center, will be closed Friday, July 4, 2014 in observance of Independence Day. The department urges claimants to plan accordingly.
The online UI Tax & Claims System is available Sunday through Friday from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. Individuals can go directly to www.jobs.state.nm.us and access the UI Tax & Claims System by clicking “Unemployment Insurance” under the “Quick Menu” on the left-hand side of the screen once they have logged into the New Mexico Workforce Connection system. Normal business hours for the UI Operations Center will resume on Monday, July 7, 2014, for those who need to speak to a Customer Service Agent, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The UI Operations Center can be reached via the 1-877-NM-4-MYUI (1-877-664-6984) toll-free number.
The Department would like to remind all eligible UI claimants that Friday, July 4, 2014 is a federal holiday. Some banking institutions will be closed, and this will result in accounts being funded when financial institutions reopen. This may affect some UI debit card holders and direct deposit participants. The small number of individuals receiving paper checks may also be affected as the US Postal Service will be closed for the holiday.
