Unemployment Insurance Operations Center closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day

Unemployment Insurance Tax & Claims System Available Online

All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ offices, including the Unemployment Insurance Operations Center, will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.

The Unemployment Insurance Tax & Claims System (www.jobs.state.nm.us) is available online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Customer Service Agents in the Unemployment Insurance Operations Center will be available when business hours resume on Tuesday, May 26, at 8:00am. The business hours of the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Operations Center are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions would like to remind all eligible Unemployment Insurance claimants that Monday, May 25, 2026, is a federal holiday. Most banking institutions and the U.S. Postal Service will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. This may result in a delay of banking transactions for Unemployment Insurance benefits.

Office Closure May 29, 2026

The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) will close all offices statewide on Friday, May 29, 2026, to complete a major technology upgrade and cloud migration as part of the Department’s Future Ready Workforce Systems initiative. During the transition the department’s websites and online systems will be temporarily unavailable to both staff and the public.
