Workforce Solutions Expands Hours of Unemployment Insurance System Availability

Online system will be available from 4:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Friday

(Albuquerque, NM) - The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) has extended the hours that the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Tax & Claims System is available for approximately 15,000 claimants and 45,000 employers across the state. The online system will now be available Sunday through Friday from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m.

“Adding two hours in the evenings will allow additional time for employers and individuals to access the system and  provide more opportunity for those who need to view their account, update information, or check the status of a claim,” said Cabinet Secretary Celina Bussey. “Improving the quality of our customer service and the accessibility to our services and programs has been top priority, and this expansion of hours for the online system aligns with these ongoing goals.”

The online UI Tax & Claims System will be available Sunday through Friday from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. The system can be accessed through the main NMDWS website at www.dws.state.nm.us, or individuals filing or certifying for benefits can go directly to the New Mexico Workforce Connection site at www.jobs.state.nm.us. The hours for the UI Operations Center, for those who need to speak to a Customer Service Agent, will remain the same from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The UI Operations Center can be reached via the 1-877-NM-4-MYUI (1-877-664-6984) toll-free number.

Additional information about the new UI Tax & Claims System and the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions is available at www.dws.state.nm.us. For the latest announcements and updates, follow NMDWS on Twitter (twitter.com/NMDWS) and the official YouTube channel (youtube.com/user/nmdws).
