Unemployment Insurance Call Center Closed Monday

(Albuquerque)  -  The  New  Mexico  Department  of  Workforce  Solutions’  unemployment insurance call center will be closed Monday, July 4, 2011 in observance of Independence Day. The department urges claimants to plan accordingly.

Unemployment Insurance Benefit Changes

Dependent Allowance and Student Eligibility Changes Effective July 3, 2011

(Albuquerque, NM) – The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) announced unemployment insurance benefit changes to the dependent allowance benefit and full-time student eligibility, effective July 3, 2011. The changes are a result of legislation adopted during the 2011 legislative session.

New Mexico Has Triggered Off of HUP Benefits

High Unemployment Period (HUP) Benefits to End July 9, 2011

(Albuquerque, NM) – The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions announced that New Mexico has triggered off High Unemployment Period (HUP) federal-state extended benefits. The last payable date for HUP benefits will be July 9, 2011. HUP benefits were a total of seven additional weeks of unemployment insurance benefits and were 100 percent federally funded.
