This letter was sent to you because you have failed to pay a debt owed to the Department.

What does this letter mean?

Because you failed to pay a debt, the Department will issue a Warrant of Levy and Lien with the Sheriff of your county ten (10) days from the date of this letter. That means that you have ten days to pay the debt. This letter also provides you with the estimated amounts of contributions that you owe, which will become final 30 days after the warrant is filed.

What do I do next?

You should make payment in full of the debt to the Department within ten (10) days of the date of this letter. You may also file a written appeal directly with this Department. Log in to your account online at www.dws.state.nm.us to make a payment and view your account details. You can also contact the Department for assistance by calling 1-877-664-6984, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
