Veteran focused hiring events across New Mexico in April

11th annual Heroes Hiring Heroes

The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions and the American Legion are partnering for the 11th consecutive year to host Heroes Hiring Heroes, a series of free hiring events connecting veterans, transitioning service members, military families, and the public with employers statewide.

“Veterans have the skill sets that businesses tell us are the most important, like leadership, adaptability, and strong work ethic. The Heroes Hiring Heroes events create a direct pathway to connect those strengths with employers who are ready to hire and invest in our workforce,” said NMDWS Cabinet Secretary Sarita Nair. “Through our more than decade-long partnership with the American Legion, we have continued to grow the Heroes Hiring Heroes event, expanding its reach across the state to connect veterans with meaningful career opportunities.”

Attendees will meet directly employers hiring for entry level to advanced positions across multiple industries. On-site representatives from America’s Job Center in New Mexico will provide resume writing assistance and interview preparation support.

Job seekers are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume, dress professionally and be prepared to discuss their experience and skills with employers.
