Notice:

Beginning September 29, 2025, New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions, Labor Relations Division, will begin to strictly enforce compliance with the Public Works Apprentice Training (PWAT) Act by assessing penalties for non-compliance with the Act. Per NMSA 1978, 13-4D-7, a employer who fails to remit PWAT payments by the deadline will be charged ten dollars ($10.00) per day for every calendar day of non-compliance. Please ensure your payments are submitted in a timely manner to avoid being charged a penalty.

    Perform preliminary work with the material and tools of the trade; residential and commercial rough wiring and finish work including the installation of various kinds of wires, cables, and conduits per the National Electrical Code; industrial lighting and service installation; motors controls and installation including emergency generators, relays, and timing devices.
