The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions announced yesterday the launch of the first-of-its kind Rural Education-Workforce Collaborative, a $400,000 statewide initiative connecting early education and P-12 instruction in rural school districts with workforce development opportunities to prepare students for high-demand careers.
Ten new graduates signed with the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) upon completing the first Industry Credential Pipeline Program, a workforce partnership between NMDOT, the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS), and in partnership with CNM Ingenuity, during a special signing ceremony held on Oct. 31.
All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ offices, including the Unemployment Insurance Operations Center, will be closing at noon, 12:00 p.m., on Friday, October 10 for seasonal observance and closed on Monday, October 13, in observance of Indigenous Peoples Day.
