New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) informs individuals who had previously been on unemployment, returned to work and now may be let go from their job again or have hours reduced, may have the option to reopen their Unemployment Insurance (UI) claim.

All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ offices, including the Unemployment Insurance Operations Center, will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day. The department urges claimants to plan accordingly.  

The Human Rights Commission will convene at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2020.  Anyone who plans to attend can email Melissa Griego at the address below, a Zoom link and password will be provided for your attendance.

The State Apprenticeship Council will hold a regular meeting on Thursday, November 19, 2020 beginning at 2:00 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom due to COVID 19; if you would like the link for the meeting invite please contact Katrina Vigil at 505-220-7413 or via email, katrina.vigil@state.nm.us.

In light of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in New Mexico, all New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) offices will remain closed to the public until further notice. Office closures include New Mexico Workforce Connection Centers and Labor Relations Division offices. Work search requirements will also be waived until further notice for all Unemployment Insurance claimants.
