Tuesday, October 18, 2022 / Categories: Department News Ribbon-cutting ceremony for new Workforce Connection Center location in Santa Fe After more than 50 years, the New Mexico Workforce Connection in Santa Fe has relocated to a larger building, commemorating the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony planned for October 20, 2022 at 12 p.m. By moving slightly down south from our previous location in Santa Fe, we have more room to increase staffing, bring in more partners, and provide ample customer parking,” said Department of Workforce Solutions Secretary Sarita Nair. “We will continue to be a staple of Santa Fe and surrounding area workforce development, assisting job seekers, youth, businesses, and veterans with building strong businesses and great careers.”The event will be attended by the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) Deputy Secretary Yolanda Montoya-Cordova, who will be joined by Joseph Weathers, Chair of the Northern Area Workforce Development Board, County Commissioners Henry Roybal and Rudy Garcia, and representatives of local businesses."We are proud to officially open this new Workforce Connection office in Santa Fe, where all the partners who are working on job training, education, and job placement are co-located and working together,” said NAWDB Chair Joseph Weathers. “This Workforce Connection one-stop center is in place to improve people's lives by making it easier for employers and job seekers to connect and get the training they need to land that great job."
