Animal Trainer – Service Dog Instructor/Trainer
Train dogs for a variety
of assistance dog roles, including serving individuals to mitigate their
disabilities or promoting healing and comfort to many people experiencing
trauma or disability as Facility, Courthouse Facility, or Crisis Response
Canines. Meet the dogs’ mental, social, emotional, and physical needs. Train
tasks and public access skills. Socialize the dogs in numerous and variable
environments. Provide safe, hygienic, and enriched environments and daily
activities for dogs of various ages and developmental stages. Plan and lead
group and individual assistance dog training sessions with clients, volunteers,
and student trainers. Match and provide ongoing support for new teams. Follow
Assistance Dogs International accreditation guidelines and other industry
recognized standards.
