Fourdrinier – Machine Operator Apprenticeship Program

The Fourdrinier - Machine Operator is an important member of the manufacturing team. Will learn to operate all essential components of the foundry, Charge Making, Powder Processing, Dry and Wet Decks. Essential functions include operating, monitoring, and maintaining furnaces and equipment to produce a quality product (established and or experimental) in a safe, clean and professional manner. Preparation of paperwork pertaining to alloys produced. Manages time and meets production schedules and standards. Analyze and adjust to unanticipated work situations. Complete other work duties as assigned. Will cross train in other positions/departments as assigned.

Who Can Be a Fourdrinier?


Applicant must be 18 years old or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S. A high school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) equivalency, or other high school equivalency credential is preferred but NOT required.

Qualified applicants will be subject to a physical examination and drug screening prior to being employed.

Applicant must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

    Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.

    Plumber?

    Assemble, install, alter, and repair pipelines or pipe systems that carry water, steam, air, or other liquids or gases. May install heating and cooling equipment and mechanical control systems.

    Ironworker?

    Raise, place, and unite iron or steel girders, columns, and other structural members to form completed structures or structural frameworks. May erect metal storage tanks and assemble prefabricated metal buildings.

    Electrician?

    Perform preliminary work with the material and tools of the trade; residential and commercial rough wiring and finish work including the installation of various kinds of wires, cables, and conduits per the National Electrical Code; industrial lighting and service installation; motors controls and installation including emergency generators, relays, and timing devices.
