What Makes a Good Workforce Board

Workforce Solutions Borderplex (WSB) CEO Lelia Melendez presents key components of Workforce System Innovation.  A session designed to engage workforce boards, CEO’s and partner leaders.  WSB is one of 28 public workforce development boards in Texas serving the six-county Borderplex region. They are a non-profit opportunity incubator, personalizing the career path and connecting the right people to the right positions. The organization and its initiatives have been recognized and awarded by the Texas Workforce Commission for their innovative approach assisting employers and job seekers.

Collaboration with WIOA-Tribal Section 166 and PL. 102-477 Programs. Take a glimpse into two Tribally operated organizations. You will hear from a WIOA Section 166 Grantee and a WIOA-Public Law 102-477 Grantee. See how collaboration can help benefit your program/organizations. There will also be a glimpse into the New Mexico Native American Workforce Partners which supports all 21 Tribally operated WIOA programs.
