Understanding Disability Etiquette

In this presentation, learners will gain an understanding of why disability etiquette is an important topic to consider while working with individuals with disabilities. Attendees will learn the differences between People First vs. Identity First Language, and how etiquette considerations can shift depending on whether the interaction is in person or via written communication. Topics such as cultural differences, and etiquette considerations across various disability groups is discussed.
