How Using a Data Story Can Shape Future Performance Outcomes

(11:00 – 11:50) ACOMA

Over the years, you’ve collected hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of data points on those you serve in WIOA.  Some may argue, “The more data, the better decisions to be made.”  Well, not in and of itself.  Data can be complicated, but it doesn’t have to be.  In this session, we will explore New Mexico’s WIOA data to “uncomplicate” the decision-making for performance through storytelling.  We will use the insights and opportunities learned from data to form a humanized point of view told in a data story that will shape your future performance.

DEI-A 101: Understanding Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility

(2:00 – 2:50)

To achieve success in DEI-A, it is crucial to cultivate a culture within your organization that is inclusive and open to everyone. However, this is easier said than done. Creating a safe and welcoming work environment where individuals feel comfortable sharing their ideas, insights, and perspectives takes effort and intentionality. By raising greater awareness of DEI-A issues that go beyond race, class, and gender, you can take steps toward transforming your workplace culture.
