Application and enforcement of the regulations in the 2016 Public Works Minimum Wage Act Policy Manual will go into effect on January 1, 2019. These regulations revise certain worker classifications and alter reporting requirements. They will affect the issuance of wage rate decisions from January 1, 2019 onward, and audits conducted on projects with wage rate decisions issued January 1, 2019 onward. Wage rate decisions that are issued through December 31, 2018 will continue to utilize the 2018 rates in accordance with the regulations that were in effect in the prior version of the Public Works Minimum Wage Act Policy Manual (available below). Please note, any audits conducted on public works projects will always utilize the wage rate determinations, wage rates and regulations that were in effect during the period of the audit in question.
