How to Get Started

The first step in starting an apprenticeship program is to contact a New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions apprenticeship representative. Next, is the development of the apprenticeship program. State Apprenticeship Office staff will work with you every step of the way as you develop the program and will provide technical assistance and guidance throughout the process. Finally, your program must be formally approved by the State Apprenticeship Office to train apprentices.

  • Do you want to become an

    Applications Developer?

    Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.

    Plumber?

    Assemble, install, alter, and repair pipelines or pipe systems that carry water, steam, air, or other liquids or gases. May install heating and cooling equipment and mechanical control systems.
