New Mexico Minimum Wage Increase goes into effect Saturday, January 1, 2022

New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ (NMDWS) advises employers and workers that New Mexico’s minimum wage is increasing, effective Saturday, January 1st, 2022. This increase is in accordance with an amendment to the New Mexico Minimum Wage Act signed into law by Governor Lujan Grisham on April 1, 2019.

Human Rights Commission Hearing

The Human Rights Commission will hold a hearing in Madelyn Graffia v. Presbyterian Medical Services and Kent Mosbrucker, HRB Case # 19-02-25-0072, on January 6, 2022.  Hearing will be held on Zoom virtual platform, beginning at 9:00 AM. 

NMDWS Reminds Claimants to Plan Accordingly for Holiday Closures

Unemployment Insurance Tax & Claims Online System Available

All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ (NMDWS) offices, including the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Operations Center, will be closed on Friday, December 24, 2021 in observance of Christmas; and Friday, December 31, 2021, in observance of the New Year holiday. The department urges claimants to plan accordingly.
