NMDWS partners with U.S. Census Bureau for statewide hiring tour

The U.S. Census Bureau is actively seeking to obtain 23,000 New Mexico applicants to fill thousands of positions at a pay rate of $13.50 to $15 an hour. The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions and New Mexico Workforce Connection (NMWC) have partnered with Census to help staff those positions across the state.

Zero tolerance stance for underpayment or nonpayment of wages by New Mexico employers

(Albuquerque) –The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS), in conjunction with the City of Albuquerque and the Bernalillo County Second Judicial District Attorney’s office, will be filing a lawsuit against Hacienda Del Rio, associated entities and principals David Rosales and Andres Rosales for violations of the state Minimum Wage Act, the Wage Payment Act, and the City of Albuquerque Minimum Wage Ordinance.

Temporary interruption to NMDWS website while undergoing upgrade

The current website, www.dws.state.nm.us, will be unavailable starting at 6am on Friday, August 16, 2019 as the website is converted to the new format, returning to service on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at noon

NMDWS funding will support training for high-demand jobs at Los Alamos National Laboratory

Funding from the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) will help prepare the workforce of the future for well-paid careers at Los Alamos National Laboratory and the environmental remediation company Newport News Nuclear BWXT – Los Alamos (N3B).
