(Albuquerque) - All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ offices, including the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Operations Center, will be closed Monday, January 18, 2016 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The department urges claimants to plan accordingly. Individuals can apply for Unemployment Insurance (UI), certify for their weekly claim, and check their claim status by logging in at www.jobs.state.nm.us, Sunday through Friday from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Operations Center will resume normal hours on Tuesday, January 19, and individuals can contact a Customer Service Agent in the NMDWS UI Operations Center at 1-877-664-6984 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
NMDWS would like to remind all eligible UI claimants that Monday, January 18 is a federal holiday. Some banking institutions and the US Postal Service will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This may result in a delay of banking transactions for UI debit card and direct deposit benefit payment recipients for those certifying on Sunday. This will also result in a delay of mail delivery for a small portion of UI claimants who receive checks.
