NMDWS continues co-enforcement of wage and hour cases with USDOL

The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) in February of 2020 to better protect New Mexico’s workers and through this co-enforcement recently led to collecting over $50,000 from a restaurant chain for 18 individual workers.

Human Rights Commission Virtual Hearing

The Administrative Law Judge on behalf of the Human Rights Commission will hold a virtual remote hearing on April 22, 2021.  Hearing will be held on Zoom virtual platform, beginning at 9:00 AM. 

Notice of Rulemaking

The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions will hold a public hearing to obtain input and public comment on an amendment to 11.2.4 NMAC. New definition of Chief Elected Official, addition/expansion of public comment process to include deadlines, and inclusion of provisions for consultation between the State, the local development boards, and the CEOs in the regional designation process.
