NMDWS urges claimants to plan accordingly for multiple Unemployment Insurance Operations Center closures next week

All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ (NMDWS) offices, including the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Operations Center, will be closed on Monday, January 18, 2021 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The UI Operations Center along with all NMDWS online systems will be unavailable starting at noon on Friday, January 22 through Saturday, January 23rd while the department moves system servers. The department urges claimants to plan accordingly.

What if I exhausted my PUA benefits but still have a remaining balance?

If you have exhausted the original 39 weeks of PUA benefits on or before December 26, whether or not you have a remaining balance, the department is waiting for guidance and funding from USDOL. There is nothing more for you to do at this time. The department will provide further information on next steps as soon as it is available.
