(Albuquerque) – All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ offices, including the Unemployment Insurance Operations Center, will close at noon on Friday, April 18, 2014 for seasonal observance. The department urges claimants to plan accordingly.
New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions will no longer accept Prepaid Debit Card accounts as a direct deposit payment option for Unemployment Insurance benefits. Only verified checking and saving accounts from FDIC financial institutions will be accepted.
The last payable week for all federal extensions, referred to as Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) benefits or tiers, ended December 28, 2013. Unless Congress passes another law, no federal extended benefits can be paid for any weeks that you are unemployed following the week ending date of December 28, 2013, even if there is a balance on your federal extension claim. Any Congressional action or updates about federal extensions will be posted on our website.
