  • ESPAÑOL

Why was this letter sent to me?

This letter was sent to you because you have an outstanding amount that is owed to the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS). Because of this outstanding balance owed, NMDWS may file a Warrant of Levy and Lien in order to pay that amount.

What does this letter mean?

This letter advises you that you have 15 days from the date of the notice to pay the balance in full. This balance includes overpayments and any applicable penalties or fees. Failure to pay can or will result in a Warrant of Levy ad Lien to be filed with the county in which you live. This letter also informs you that if you are eligible for a New Mexico income tax refund, that refund may be intercepted to offset the overpayment. Other legal action may also apply.

What do I do next?

You should make payment in full to NMDWS in the amount which the letter states. You can view your account details online at www.jobs.state.nm.us and log in to your account. You may also contact NMDWS to arrange a payment plan if NMDWS finds that such a plan is appropriate.

Where am I in the claims or tax process?

You may be in the claims collection process.

Who should I contact if I have any questions?

UI claimants are required to maintain usernames and passwords for both the online jobs system (www.jobs.state.nm.us) and the UI Tax & Claims System.
