Unemployment Insurance Tax & Claims System Available Online
All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ offices, including the Unemployment Insurance Operations Center, will be closed on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. The department urges claimants to plan accordingly.
New Mexico’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.5 percent in April 2023, unchanged from March and down from 4.3 percent in April 2022. The national unemployment rate in April was 3.4 percent, down from 3.5 percent in March and down from 3.6 percent in April 2022. Total nonagricultural payroll employment grew by 18,200 jobs, or 2.1 percent, between April 2022 and April 2023.
