Why was this letter sent to me?

This poster was sent to you as acknowledgement that you have successfully registered your business with the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions.

What does this letter mean?

This poster serves to certify that your business is registered with the Department as an employer. This is also a notice to your employees that if they lose their jobs or their hours are reduced, they may be eligible for Unemployment Insurance benefits.

What do I do next?

This needs to be posted in a place where your employees can see it and is readily available to them.

Where am I in the claims or tax process?

You are now registered and in compliance with the Department.

You can access your employer account online as well as other claims and tax information at www.dws.state.nm.us.

You can also contact a Customer Service Agent in the Unemployment Insurance Operations Center at 1-877-664-6984, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
