2025-2026 AmeriCorps State Request for Applications - Competitive Pool

Funding Overview

On September 30th, 2024, the Serve New Mexico Commission will release its Request for Applications (RFA: #25-631-7004-00074), based on AmeriCorps Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the 2025–2026 Program Year. The 2025 “Competitive” competition is to request applications to establish AmeriCorps programs throughout the State of New Mexico to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic participation through service.

All interested applicants must submit a Notification of Intent to Apply and Readiness Checklist form as well as the Agency-Specific W-9 by October 2nd, 2024 by 11:59pm MST and initial applications from eligible applicants are due October 4th, 2024 by 12:00pm Mountain

Final Applications from eligible applicants are due by November 15, 2024 by 4:00pm Mountain. See RFA 25-631-7001-00074 (below) for details.

Important Application Dates 

  • Submission of the Notice of Intent to Apply/Readiness Checklist and Agency-Specific W9 are required to be eligible for this competition and are due on October 2nd, 2024 by 11:59pm MST by email to servenm@dws.nm.gov
  • Submission of the Initial Applications is required to be eligible for this competition and is due on October 4th, 2024 by 12:00pm Mountain.by email to servenm@dws.nm.gov
  • Deadline to submit Written Questions: November 11th, 2024
  • Response to Written Questions: November 13th, 2024
  • The deadline for Full Applications is November 15th, 2024 by 4:00pm MST. The application process requires submission of final word documents and excel to servenm@dws.nm.gov.

All required items must be submitted by the given due dates. Late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.

Application Materials for All Grants

Notice to Applicants: Unique Entity Identifier (SAM) Requirement 

SAM Unique Entity Identifier is Required to Bid on Government Contracts and to Receive Grants. By April of 2022, the federal government will stop using the DUNS number to uniquely identify entities. At that point, entities doing business with the federal government will use a Unique Entity Identifier (SAM) created in SAM.gov. To register, please visit: https://sam.gov/content/home
