Assess your eligibility for an AmeriCorps grant by answering the following questions:
Do the services your organization provides fall within one or more of the AmeriCorps focus areas?
- Disaster Readiness and response services
- Financial, social and educational services and resources for economically disadvantaged people
- Educational access for disadvantaged children and families
- Efficient energy and consumption awareness and best practices
- Primary and preventative health care for underprivileged communities
- Improve veterans and military family's quality of life
Are you going to provide direct service?
Consider how closely your organization will engage with the community it is serving. Will you be providing direct or indirect support?
Does your organization demonstrate strong management?
Do you have the organizational capacity to manage federal funds, train staff, and implement internal controls?
