2019-2020 AmeriCorps State Request for Applications - Competitive Pool

On October 15, 2018, the New Mexico Commission for Community Volunteerism released its Request for Applications, based on the Corporation for National and Community Service’s Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the 2019-2020 Program Year. The 2019 competition will target AmeriCorps grant making on the six national focus areas identified in the Serve America Act and the agency's five-year Strategic Plan : disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and veterans and military families. In order to maximize the impact of the public investment in national service, CNCS will fund programs that can demonstrate community impact and solve community problems using an evidence-based or evidence-informed approach.

Through the 2019 competition, CNCS seeks to prioritize the investment of national service resources in Economic Opportunity, Education, Healthy Futures, Veterans and Military Families, Rural Intermediaries, Safer Communities, and Faith-Based Organizations. CNCS will continue to focus on national service programs that fall within the six focus areas previously mentioned. See RFA 19-631-7004-00064 (below) for Program Year 2019-2020 funding priorities.
