Nature Niños proposes an
operational grant in the AmeriCorps Focus Area of Environmental Stewardship. At
the end of the planning period, Nature Niños will be responsible for developing
an AmeriCorps intervention that will result in the promotion of environmental
stewardship, community resilience, outdoor education and outdoor classroom as a
tool to spark the interest in the outdoors while supporting improved education
for our young people in New Mexico. Additionally, the organization will learn
about AmeriCorps grant and financial management.

providing resources and training for teachers to effectively use outdoor
settings as learning environments

members in experiential learning about the environment and sustainability
