New MexiCorps, the state-funded service initiative, brings together the best of work-based learning opportunities and meeting community needs through direct service. Through this effort, participants will gain hands-on experience, industry-recognized credentials, and career pathways.
New MexiCorps will partner with local organizations throughout New Mexico that have a proven track record of successfully mentoring and service within their communities. All participants will come out of the program with a certificate, credential, or professional experience that will aid them on their career journey.
The intent of this program is to bridge the gap between learning and careers and provide individuals the opportunity gain the experience to enter into the high demand careers within New Mexico. Upon completion of their term, the participants will also receive an education incentive that can help with continuing their schooling or provide them the resources to obtain that long term employment goal.
By investing in service opportunities connected to workforce development, New MexiCorps will help strengthen communities while preparing New Mexicans for careers that support the state’s future economy and natural resources.
